Pedix Fungasoap is one treatment option that you do not need a prescription for. It’s even easily available on online stores like Amazon. Therefore, it’s no surprise that we got tempted to try it out during our search for a good fungus treatment.
First, the facts as stated in the packaging:
FungaSoap® cleansing wash helps relieve the discomfort of itching and dryness associated with athlete’s foot while it cleans and refreshes skin. This patented soap is enriched with tea tree oil – an essential oil used as a disinfectant and antiseptic for centuries.
Well, based on the packaging, it’s really just a disinfectant and anti-septic. At that, I was a bit hesitant, but we tried it out anyway.
Here is what I like about the product:
- Great disinfectant. We tried using it on other parts of the body that just had some itch like my daughter’s back. What with all the playing.
- I read the reviews and it seemed it worked very well, specially for those who have gone through treatment
Disadvantages:
- It did not work with my daughter’s toe nail fungus
- The reviews I read worked wonderfully for non-toe nail fungus related cases
Recommendation: I would recommend it, but only as a cleanser. If you want to maintain the cleanliness of the infected area, this is a great product to use. But, it is NOT a treatment. Just because this is a toenail fungus treatment review, I would give it 1 out of 5. For just a disinfectant wash, I would give it a 5. There are also treatments that you should definitely avoid because of its ingredients like Keractil.
